Abstract
1494613 Roof ridges MONIER COLOUR TILE PTY Ltd 11 May 1976 19268/76 Heading E1W A ridge or hip cap assembly comprises a rail 10, fixing means 50 for mounting the rail on a ridge board; a series of cap sections 15 forming a continuous capping above the rail, and a series of clips 14,. slidably engaging the rail. 10 and extending between adjacent cap sections, and with flanges 16, 17 which bear upon the upper surfaces of both adjacent cap sections. The rail is formed by folding an elongate piece of sheet metal to form a flanged top, a flanged base with rolled edges 33, and a vertical web, Fig. 3 (not shown). The clips 14. have a slot 64 corresponding to the top flange, and are made in two parts with a ratchet 62 between preventing extension but allowing construction. In a modification, Fig. 2, the ridge cap sections overlap and the clips extend between them giving a channel shape 20 to 22 open to the side. A flashing washing 70 may be fitted on the clips 14. The rail 10 is held down by clips 50 having a hooked edge 51.
