Abstract

1299517 Flat roof flashing assembly M SCHIERLING 13 Feb 1970 [26 Feb 1969] 6974/70 Heading E1W A jointing assembly for use at the joint between a flat roof and an adjoining wall comprises a hollow fixing section 3 to be embedded in the wall and into which is secured an edge of a sheet 2 of flashing material to the edge of which sheet is attached a border 6 of metal or plastics shaped to fit a hollow upwardly directed arm 8 of the section 3 to secure the sheet 2 therein. The flashing 2 may be additionally secured by a hollow fixing section 7. Distance pieces 11 on the border 6 and apertures 17 in the section 7 may be provided in order that the zone beneath the roofing material Fig. 1 (not shown) may be vented to atmosphere. A fixing strip, which may be in the form of a U-shaped extension 18, may be provided in order to secure roof boarding 19 thereto.
