Abstract
1456743 Fixing roof coverings at roof edges K GOBEL 22 March 1974 [21 April 1973] 12960/74 Heading E1W A roof covering sheet, or an edging strip connected thereto, is fixed, at the roof edge, in a slotted hollow horizontal member e.g. 31 by a shoulder 26 on an enlarged margin of the sheet or strip engaging a shoulder 25 inside the member 31. In the embodiment shown, a further enlargement 30 engages in the upper channeled portion of the member 31. In the embodiment of Fig. 6, a single enlargement (19) sits in an undercut channel formed in the upper part of the receiving member (20). In the embodiment of Fig. 1 (not shown) an elastic clamping section (10) is connected to the sheet or strip edge, and has protuberances (11) and (12) engaging in channeled portions of the receiving member (1). In the embodiments of Figs. 2-5 (not shown), an enlargement is formed by folding the sheet or strip edge over several times, the enlargements being retained in different sectioned receiving members.
