Abstract

1484213 Contact arrangements for isolating switches BROWN BOVERI & CIE AG 28 Aug 1975 [28 Aug 1974] 35548/75 Heading H1N Contacts for an isolator comprise two members 4, 5 movable toward each other to insert a cruciform member 8 on the end of the member 4 between coated spring steel fingers 1 which are mounted on the member 5 so that their free ends incline slightly toward each other. The cruciform member engages each rod 1 at two places and the ends of the rods are bent outward at 6 to guide the member 8. Each steel rod 1 has an outer copper conductive coating. The members 4, 5 may be mounted on insulators and form parts of a rotary disconnecting isolator.
