Abstract

1464595 Spray carburetters, air density compensation ACF INDUSTRIES INC 28 Jan 1974 [9 Feb 1973] 03897/74 Heading F1H The Specification is identical to that of (Specification 1464591) which describes the use of a bellows sensitive to changes in air density or temperature to modify the air/fuel ratio of the mixture delivered by a carburetter and the operation of vacuum-powered devices associated with the engine. The claims of this Patent are directed to the use of the device to admit either increasing or decreasing quantities of air, as the absolute density of the ambient air decreases, to a suction passage leading from an engine to a suction operated device e.g. an accelerator pump or a vacuum operated ignition advance and retard mechanism.
