Breech actions, sliding breech-block; firing- appliances.-Relates to automatic guns with slip-lock firing-mechanism in which the sear is pivoted to a lever actuated by the trigger, as described in the parent Specification. According to the invention, the sear, instead of being pivoted directly to the lever, is pivoted to a slide which is actuated bv the lever. In the construction shown, the sear 1 is pivoted to a slide a actuated by a lever 2 connected by a link 10 to the trigger. The sear tail 8 is lifted to release the firing-pin by engaging the fixed abutment 7.
