1457823 Printing machines MURRAY CURVEX PRINTING Ltd 10 Jan 1975 [14 Jan 1974] 01711/74 Heading B6C A printing machine has a linear endless conveyer 1 movable in a stepwise manner, and carrying a plurality of transfer members 6. The transfer members have an image applied at an inking station or stations C1, C2, C3, and, adjacent the ends of the conveyer, two alternative printing stations at one of which, A, the transfer member is oriented so that the image faces downwardly, and at the other, B, the image is arranged to face upwardly. In printing station 1, the image may be transferred by presser member 65 on to an article 63. In printing station B, an article 76 is rolled over the image. The transfer member 6 is inverted at D where a shaft on the frame thereof engages a dog driven by chain drive 28 actuated by pneumatic cylinder 32. After printing the trailing end of the frames runs along guides 33. A resilient support may be provided beneath the transfer member at printing station B.
