Abstract

1398203 Travelling cylinder press SHELDON INDUSTRIES Inc 10 Sept 1973 [18 Sept 1972] 42377/73 Heading B6C In a travelling cylinder press in which the platen roller 13, Fig. 1, is motor driven on chain guides across an adjustable resiliently mounted bed carrying printing plates the motor drive, chain guides and roller are carried in a head section 10 pivoted to a base section 11. During its motion the roller 13 is urged by a cam surface attached to the head section downwardly against the bed and the head section is lockable in the printing position by a bar member 32 which causes a pivot rod 33 to move in arcuate slots 31, 34 into the position shown in Fig. 3.
