Abstract

1452667 Door latches GKN-STENMAN AB 19 June 1974 [20 June 1973] 27258/74 Heading E2A A door lock has a spring biassed sliding latch bolt 4 operated by either of two handles 8 through followers 6 and there are provided two dead bolts 10 actuable independently of each other and located one on each side of the latch bolt. The dead bolts are each operated through followers 11 by a key &c inserted into a recess or aperture 12. In the embodiment shown, handles 8 fit into apertures or recesses 7 separate from recesses or apertures 12 but in a further embodiment (Fig. 4) both recesses or apertures 7, 12 have the same centre and each follower 11 actuates the dead bolts through a rotatable member 18, provided with a toothed segment engaging with teeth on the follower 11, the member interacting with the dead bolt through a pin and slot mechanism (20, 21).
