Abstract

1,133,120. Locks. ADAMS RITE MFG. CO. 29 March. 1966 [29 March, 1965], No. 13828/66. Heading E2A. Actuating mechanism for a bolt for a sliding door, comprises a manually slidable member which is movable to positions.effecting locking and unlocking and a connection .between the member and a movable operating member connected to the bolt. The bolt 18 moves in a slot 17 in one side of a ,tubular frame 10 secured to one edge of a sliding door. The bolt is connected to a rotatable actuating member 19 connected by a spindle 37 to a slide 29 movable in a channel shaped housing 25 to lock or unlock tile door by pressing one of two end caps 36 thereon. The housing which is secured to one side'of the frame 10 has grooves for removably retaining cover 21: integral with a door pull member 23. On the other side of the frame a pull member 24 is secured. A key operated cylinder lock 53 is mounted in a bracket 56 and has a rotatable end spindle connected to a cranked arm with an end pin engaging in a slot in the slide 29 so that by operating the lock 53 tie bolt moves to locking or unlocking position.
