Abstract

1443303 Valves L-G NORDIN 12 March 1974 [12 March 1973] 10975/74 Heading F2V [Also in Division F1P A slave unit 8 is connected to a master unit 2 by two separate passageways 5, 12 one of which is connected by a valve 33 to a reservoir 38. When the unit 2 is moved to the left pressure rises in the passageway 5 to open the valve 33 through a diaphragm 19 and allow fluid from the reservoir to enter the passageway 12 to compensate for the difference between spaces 10 and 11. This difference causes the unit 8 to move more rapidly than the unit 2 when the latter is moved to the right so that the pressure in the passageway 5 is again increased to open the valve and allow fluid to return to the reservoir from the passageway 12. The valve also permits fluid to enter or leave the passageway 12 in response to temperature changes.
