Abstract
1404117 Fluid-pressure actuators EATON CORP 26 March 1974 [28 March 1973] 13460/74 Headings F1D and F1P Bottoming of a piston 30, Fig. 2, is prevented as the piston moves to the right in the Fig. by a resilient member 122 which abuts a plate 108 and closes an annular passage 112 connecting a chamber 34 with an outlet port 24. The member 122 has a conical depression in its end which faces the plate 108 and a foot which engages a groove 120 in the piston. With a selector valve 20, Fig. 1, in the appropriate position, pressure fluid passes from a pump P through lines 18, 26 and valve chambers 88, 86 and line 41 to a chamber 40 where it moves the piston 30 to the right. Fluid returns from the chamber 34 to reservoir 16 through lines 24, 22. When the outlet to line 24 is blocked by the resilient member 122, pressure in the chamber 34 rises and this pressure, through line 94, pushes a spool 54 to the left in Fig. 1. A land 58 closes the passage between lines 26 and 41 and further movement to the right of the piston 30 is prevented.
