Abstract

1438403 Endless-track vehicles BOFORS AB 19 July 1972 [25 July 1972] 34545/73 Heading B7H [Also in Division F3] A vehicle, which may be a tracked type, has a gun pointing forwardly of the vehicle and pivotally mounted in a trunnion 5 which is positioned at the rear of the vehicle, road wheels 4, each of which is carried by a pivotable arm 9 and which are movable from their positions shown in Fig. 1 to their positions shown in Fig. 2, and means for effecting the movement of the wheels towards and away from the vehicle, the pair of rear wheels 4 each being provided with one of said means. The latter comprises a lever 10 which connects the respective arm 9 to the piston-rod of an hydraulic piston and cylinder device 11. Tension of the track is effected by a piston and cylinder device 13, via a wheel 12.
