747,143. Overthrow loaders; scraper devices for trimming material. SALZGITTER MASCHINEN AKT.-GES. March 26, 1954 [March 28, 1953], No. 8859/54. Classes 78 (3) and 78 (4). A scoop-arm overthrow loader 2 for shovelling mined material into an attached truck 7 is provided with means for spreading the material in the truck. As shown, a cylinder 6 is pivotally mounted on each side of the loader on a bracket 4, the rear end of each cylinder being supported and movable up and down by a second fluidpressure cylinder 10. Between the ends of the piston-rods 8 of cylinders 6 is mounted a rake 9 given longitudinal and vertical movement by the cylinders 6 and 10 respectively. Cylinders 6 may be of the telescopic sectional type. Rack-and-pinion or screw-and-nut mechanism may be used in place of the cylinders.
