Abstract

1419847 Automatic circuit breakers ALLMANNA SVENSKA ELEKTRISKA AB 11 April 1973 [12 April 1972] 17363/73 Heading H1N A direct-on-line starter switch including manually operable means 8 for opening the switch and release means 11 for automatic opening of the switch has an arm 7 which makes both a forward and backward movement during an opening operation and unlocks a contact holder 23 of a signal contact device which has its contacts normally locked open but on release has its holder 23 moved by a spring 26 to close contacts 21, 24, 22 but on manual release by push-button means 8 a part 30 thereof prevents movement of the holder 23. The main movable contacts 3 are mounted on a carrier 2 on which the arm 7 is pivoted at 6 to be movable by push-button 9 to a position in which it is held by a spring biased latch 14. The release latch 11 may be moved by electromagnetic or thermal means (not shown) and a main bias spring 5 in moving the carrier 2 upward rotates the arm 7 clockwise so that it engages a face 29 of the auxiliary contact holder 23 to unlock it from projection 28. As the carrier 2 moves upward a projection 17 thereon releases the latch 14 to permit a spring 10 to rotate the arm 7 in the other direction and reset it with latch 14. The latch 14 is also releasable by the push-button 8 but its projection 30 prevents operation of the auxiliary or signal contacts.
