Abstract

1403255 Prefabricated buildings; panelled walls SOUTH SEAS INTERNATIONAL (NZ) Ltd 17 Aug 1972 [23 Aug 1971] 38465/72 Headings E1A and E1W A building is constructed from a peripheral base plate 10, 11, 12 mounted on a foundation 37, 42, wall posts 20, 25 and wall panels 29 mounted on the base plate and a wall joining member 38 mounted on the posts and wall panels; the members 10, 11, 12, 38 being apertured to locate the posts therebetween by means of top and bottom studs 24 which are also secured to the foundation and the roof joists respectively. The wall panels are each provided with a peripheral groove to accommodate the associated posts, to locate the member 38 thereon and to seat on the apertured upper flange of the base plate. For configuration of posts, base plate components, a wall joining member for securing a partition wall to the post and other minor constructional details such as materials employed, the Specification and remaining drawings, (not shown), should be referred to.
