978,142. Walls, floors, and ceilings; metal sheets; glass sheets. IRCOM S.p.A. Feb. 22, 1963, No. 7281/63. Headings E1J, E1K and E1V. Building units of metal, synthetic plastic, or glass, in sheet or laminated material, are formed at two opposite edges with upstanding flanges 3, 4 provided with interlocking formations 8, 9, whereby the units may be assembled together in a reinforced concrete floor, a ceiling, or as a partition (Fig. 3). T-sectioned channels 5 are provided in the base of the unit and are used to fasten the units to underlying roof purlins, for the attachment of a suspended ceiling to the units, or for suspending chandeliers, ventilators &c. As a partition the elements are fitted together side by side, the space between their flanges being filled with insulating material held in place by a wall plate.
