Abstract
1400973 Scaffolding HAFLA BRUKS AB 2 March 1973 [8 March 1972] 10249/73 Heading E1S Scaffolding comprises supporting members carrying therebetween working platforms 3, each support being provided with upright pegs 12, 25 to engage in openigs 14 in the ends of the platforms, and looking springs as at 16, 26 being provided to automatically lock the platforms to the supports on assembly but requiring manual actuation to release the locking engagement for disassembly. In Fig 1 a double leaf spring 16 is secured to a horizontal bar 9 of the support, and when platforms 3 are lowered on to the pegs 12 carried by a saddle member 10 secured to the bar 9, hooklike portions 20 of the spring are first deflected by the lower edges of the platforms and then snap into recesses 17 in the ends of the platforms; extension portions 21 of the spring must be moved as indicated to disengage the hook-like portions 20 for removal of the platforms. In Fig 2, the peg 25 is hollow and a spring 26 is secured therein, the spring having a hook-like portion 27 which projects through an opening 28 in the peg, and when the plaform is lowered on to the peg the hook-like portion is first deflected and then snaps into a recess 29 at the side of the opening 14 in the platform; the projecting end of the spring must be moved to disengage the portion 27.
