Abstract

1398814 Creels A OTT 18 Jan 1973 [18 Jan 1972] 2730/73 Heading D1J A yarn package 6, wound on a spool 2, hangs downwardly from a suspension 10 with a universal degree of motion that permits the package to swing freely during unwinding of the yarn from the package, the suspension means 10 being held by damping means 14 such as a block of high-hysterisic material. As shown the spindle 5 of the spool 2 has an eye 9 that hangs on a hook 10. The eye 9 may be in a bushing 13 of synthetic material, for example of polyamide. The spool 2 is carried by bearings 3, 4 mounted on the spindle 5.
