Abstract
896,805. Ring-spinning. ALGEMENE KUNSTZJIDE UNIE N.V. Aug. 5, 1959 [Aug. 12, 1958], No. 26764/59. Class 120(2) In a ring-spinning machine in which at each position yarn is passed through an eyelet 2 and traveller 3 to a bobbin 5, the ring 8 is driven and the bobbin 5 is not rotated. The ring 8 is supported by wheels 9 driven by a belt 11 and the bobbins are mounted to reciprocate with a spindle-rail 14. It is stated that the yarn may be wound faster than in known ring-spinning machines although the rotational speed of the ring is low since steady movement of the traveller is obtained with only a small relative speed between ring and traveller. It is also stated that if a non- twisted yarn is fed to the unit, the low twist inserted thereby may be removed by unwinding over-end.
