1394817 Pyrimidinyl aminopyridine compounds IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd 21 Feb 1972 [19 March 1971] 39831/74 Divided out of 1394816 Heading C2C Novel compounds of formula X-NH-Y wherein X represents a pyrimidinyl radical bearing at least two substituents (other than -NH-Y) and Y represents a pyridyl radical (other than -NH-X), at least three of such substituents being halogen, at least one of the remaining such substituents being selected from cyano, alkyl, perfluoroalkyl, alkoxy, alkylthio, aralkylthio and amino, any other substituents present being halogen, may be prepared by reacting X-NH 2 with Y Hal (or vice versa) in the presence of a base, e.g. sodium hydride. The novel compounds exhibit pesticidal properties.
