1388825 Aminopyrimidine compounds IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd 21 Feb 1972 [19 March 1971 (2)] 39830/74 and 39813/74 Divided out of 7289/71 Heading C2C Novel compounds of formula X-NH-Y wherein X represents a 4- or 5-pyrimidinyl radical bearing at least two substituents (other than -NH-Y) and Y represents a phenyl naphthyl or pyrimidinyl radical bearing at least two substituents (other than -NH-X), at least two of the substituents being halogen and the remaining substituents being selected from halogen, cyano, nitro, perfluoroalkyl and aralkylthio, or alkyl, provided that alkyl is only present when Y is a pyrimidinyl radical, may be prepared by reacting X-NH 2 with Y-Hal (or vice versa) in the presence of a base. The novel compounds exhibit pesticidal properties.
