Abstract

139,445. Gendle, A. E. Dec. 16, 1919. Razors, safety. In a safety razor in which a detachable blade is secured between a guard and a clamping- plate hinged thereto, the clamping being effected by cam action on movement of a pivoted member, the cam C is formed on the guard or body of the razor and is engaged by a yoke E pivoted at F to the clamping- plate D. The cam is eccentric to the pivot F, so that the blade may be bent to a variable amount according to the extent to which the yoke is pushed home. The blade is the only loose part.
