Abstract

1380595 Regulating I C engines ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 7 Sept 1972 [8 Sept 1971] 41475/72 Heading FIB The cross-sectional area of a by-pass 3 around the throttle valve 2 is controlled in dependence upon the pressure downstream of the valve by a valve 4. The evacuated bore 8 is coupled to a valve member 10 which, at a predetermined pressure, substantially closes a bore portion 13 between bore portions 15 and 16 of greater crosssectional area. At a further predetermined pressure the member 10 substantially closes the bore portion 12. The operation of the valve 4 is adjustable by a throttle 21 in a by-pass 20.
