964,783. Combustion chambers; valves. S. M. DOBROSAVLJEVIC. Aug. 16, 1960 [Aug. 31, 1959], No. 28331/60. Heading F1B. A combustion chamber insert 6 is spaced from the surrounding cylinder head or piston by an air gap 12 and is made of a material with a lower coefficient of expansion than that of the cylinder head or piston. The insert is held in position by a threaded ring 14 and the combustion chamber has a fuel injector 17 and a common inlet and outlet valve 8 associated with inlet and exhaust pipes 18, 18<SP>1</SP>.
