Abstract

1359261 Knitting-machines SCHUBERT & SALZER MASCHINENFABRIK AG 4 Sept 1972 [2 Sept 1971] 40950/72 Heading D1C In a circular machine including pile-formnig sinkers, the upper ends of the needles are prevented from flexing by a support in the vicinity of the knocking-over plane A. In a first embodiment, Figure 1, the support 4 isprovided at the top of the cam carrier 3. It has slots 40 to permit rocking of the sinkers 2, which thus entrain the support. Alternatively the support may have its own drive. In the embodiment of Figure 2 the needles are supported by a member 6 carried in slots 14 in the trick wall inserts.
