Abstract

1471458 Knitting machines ROCKWELL INTERNATIONAL CORP 5 Aug 1974 [10 Sept 1973] 34345/74 Heading D1C A multi-feed rotary cylinder knitting machine has in each trick, three jacks 22, 23, 24 of which the jack 24 is a selector slider jack 24 cooperable with selector slide cams 26 at the respective feeds and the jack 23 is a rocker jack, all jacks 23 being rocked by a presser cam 29 in advance of each feed so that butts 39 thereof project from the tricks, selected jacks 24 then raising the associated jack 23 so that their butts 39 ride on a lifting cam face 40 of a cam 35 so as to raise the needles 13 through the jacks 22 while the butts of jacks 23 corresponding to non-selected jacks 24 are cammed inwardly of their tricks by a second face 41 on the cam 35 so as to pass below and in front of the cam face 40.
