Abstract

1336019 Pneumatic conveyers MILLMIX PTY Ltd 19 April 1971 [8 July 1970] 33064/70 Heading B8A Material in a hopper 10 is discharged therefrom by blowing air downwardly and towards the centre of the material along the base thereof and at the centre directing the air upwardly with the entrained material into a discharge pipe 18. The air is introduced through a series of apertures 19, each series being concentric and covered by an annular plate 20 which provides a gap 22 between its lower end and the base-plate to cause the air to flow downwardly over the surface of the base-plate. A cone 17 arranged at the centre of the base-plate and with its apex adjacent the opening of the discharge tube directs the air and the material into said tube.
