C. engine fuel and air supplies HONDA GIKEN KOGYO K K 17 Dec 1970 [22 May 1970] 27781/73 Divided out of 1334698 Heading F1B The increase in air-flow throughthe intake passage 9 when the main throttle valve 7 is opened rapidly from the idling position is delayed by a spring-biased subsidiary throttle valve 10 downstream of the main valve. The valve 10 is respon -sive to the pressure in the passage 9 downstream of the valve 7 which acts through an orifice 17 on the valve diaphragm 19. The supply of fuel to the engine is controlled by the setting of the valve 7, a respective injection pump 3 supplying each injector 4.
