Abstract

1327752 Endless conveyers DOWTY MECO Ltd 20 Aug 1970 [10 Sept 1969] 44592/69 Heading B8A In an endless scraper conveyer comprising line pans 3 and spill plates 6, the spill plates are arranged such that one part thereof is secured to one line pan and the other part thereof is connected to an adjacent line pan such that said spill plate crosses the junction 5 of the line pans and forms a rigid structure therewith. The spill plates 6 have end flanges (7) Fig. 3 (not shown) whereby adjacent line pans may be secured together and have openings (9) Fig. 1 (not shown) to provide access to the joints of the line pans. A plate (8) provided beneath the deck (4) of a line pan may be used to connect spill plates on opposite sides of a line pan. The spill plates may be of a length similar to that of a line pan or twice the length of a line pan.
