Abstract

1478392 Scraper conveyers HALBACH & BRAUN 14 Aug 1974 [27 Oct 1973] 35732/74 Heading B8A A flight bar 5, for a scraper conveyer having a single chain 3, comprises a central portion attached to a stirrup 4 and two arms 6 each having a lower edge to lie adjacent the conveyer deck plate 2, and, adjacent the central portion, a contact surface 10 inclined inwardly from the lower edge towards the central portion and engaging an inwardly inclined support surface 9 of the stirrup. The ends of the flight bars are guided in angled profile side walls of the conveyer trough. Each stirrup has a slide surface to engage the deck plate and threaded studs for attachment of a flight bar. Surface 9 is inclined about 15 degrees to the vertical and is also inclined in the longitudinal direction of the conveyer. Surfaces 9 and 10 diverge slightly to allow small play therebetween.
