Abstract

1,273,905. Endless scraper conveyers. MAVOR & COULSON Ltd. 19 April, 1971 [16 April, 1970], No. 18107/70. Heading B8A. A joint for trough sections of a scraper-type mining conveyer includes a generally recumbent U-shaped male member 8 which is received in a female part 7 of an adjacent section. A removable stop block 27x limits movement apart of the sections by engagement with a boss 16 associated with the female part. Surfaces 15, 18 on the block 27x and surfaces 17, 19 on the female part 7 are curved to permit the sections to be angled upwards. Provision for horizontal angling is made by divergent vertical surfaces between webs (6) and between the legs (21, 22) and surfaces (20), Fig. 8 (not shown). Deck members (3) are reduced in thickness at (9, 10) where they overlap, Figs. 4, 5 (not shown).
