Abstract
1322620 Rotary positive-displacement pumps GENERAL SIGNAL CORP 27 Oct 1971 [21 Dec 1970] 49994/71 Heading F1F In an oil-sealed vacuum pump a baffle unit carried by a discharge pipe 15 extending above the surface 6 of an oil pool comprises an imperforate skirted baffle 13 and a screen 19 constituted by layers 19a, 19b of woven-wire mesh, which break oil slugs and coalesce oil mist issuing from said pipe. Gas escapes to the atmosphere through a port 12 and mist filter (not shown). Oil is delivered to the bearings through a check valve 11 and throttling valves 9. The pump is coupled to an electric motor 4 by a belt and pulley train 3.
