Abstract

Valve-gear.-In an engine having cylinders disposed in the form of a V, overhead cam shafts q, z are driven from inclined shafts h, l which are geared to a horizontal shaft e actuated from the crank-shaft through a vertical shaft c. The horizontal shaft may 'actuate water-circulating pumps p, p<1> and magnetos (not shown) which are driven from gear-wheels f. A vertical shaft s located below the crank-shaft may actuate a horizontal spindle u connected to pumps for circulating lubricating-oil. The lubricating-pumps may be driven from one or more of the gearwheels f.
