1311493 Awnings E HERSCOVICI 15 July 1970 [14 Aug 1969] 34340/70 Heading E1J A tubular bar B at the edge of an awning has a longitudinal channel A receiving a fixable slider C, a support arm L being pivotally secured to the slider and to a support surface. By adjustment of the slider the distance between the bar B and the surface may be adjusted. The bar may be of circular section and be connected to a winch (16, Fig. 8) by a reinforcing member (R) received inside the bar. Members (R) may connect adjacent lengths of bar. The awning may be tensioned by pins (4, Fig. 3) adjusted by screws (5).
