Abstract

1310279 Line guides H K HALLETT 19 April 1971 [5 Nov 1970] 52644/70 Heading A1A [Also in Division B8] A line guide comprises an attachment member 1 for attaching the guide to a fishing rod and a pulley element 6 comprising a hollow spindle 4 rotatably mounted within the attachment member 1 and a flat U-shaped pulley mounting in which a pulley 7 is rotatably mounted so as to receive a line passing through the hollow spindle 4. A further guide roller 9 is mounted rotatably or fixedly in the pulley mounting. The attachment member 1 shown comprises a web connecting two parallel tubular parts 2 and 3, the upper part 2 being received on the end of the fishing rod and the line passing from the rod through the spindle 4 and over pulley 7 and roller 9. In another embodiment in which a hollow fishing rod is used, the attachment member comprises a hollow single ferrule on the fishing rod and the hollow spindle of the pulley element is rotatably mounted externally thereon.
