1309009 Injection moulding; locking mould parts PLAST - UND ELASTVERARBEITUNGSMASCHINEN - KOMBINAT KARLMARX-STADT VEB 3 Aug 1970 37348/70 Heading B5A An injection moulding machine has a fixed mould carrier plate 1 and a movable mould carrier plate 2 each carrying a mould part 22 with a stationary plate 3, plate 2 being mounted on guide bars 4, means, e.g. cylinders 32 to open and close the mould and further means, e.g. cylinders 13, 15 to produce small and final opening and closing forces respectively, there also being mould locking means and means to set and vary the spacing of plates 1, 2 for use with different size mould halves. Cylinders 32, the piston rods 30 of which are mounted on movable plate 2, effect the main opening and closing movements. For final closure, pistion 6 in cylinder 5 transmits closing forces through bar 4 to plate 2 via adjusting nut 18 and sleeve 21, the locking ring members 19 being retracted. Initial opening movement is provided by piston 17 of cylinder 13 actuating bar 4 and the force is thence transmitted by nut 23, sleeve 25, casing 20 and sleeve 21 to the mould carrier plate 2. Mould setting adjustment is effected by drive 26 to adjustment means 24.
