Abstract

1291856 Drying houses during construction H J HORWATH 23 Feb 1970 [24 Feb 1969] 9737/69 Heading E1S A house is dried before construction is completed by passing heated air up through an existing conduit, e.g., and as illustrated, a refuse shaft 6, and through openings on the different floors into rooms on those floors. When there is one shaft inlet on a floor, a box 16 is connected to the inlet, via, e.g., a tubular stud, and tubes 20 pass the air to nozzles 22 situated at the tops of the door openings 4. The air is supplied from e.g. a gas fired generator 12 connected by, e.g., a tubular stud to the bottom of the refuse shaft. A plate 10 may be fixed to the top of the shaft, or a hinged circular stop plate inserted in the uppermost shaft inlet and opened out above the inlet.
