Abstract

1282198 Grooving machines BLAWS ENG PRODUCTS Ltd 19 April 1971 [3 March 1970] 10149/70 Heading B4B A grooving machine comprises a plurality of vertically spaced cutters 12 and drive means 18 for moving a sheet of material e.g. fibre-glass in a substantially vertical plane through the machine to be acted on by the cutters. The cutters 12 are adjustably mounted on a support 13 and are shaped to form V-grooves 17 in the material. The drive means are in the form of rollers 18 driven from a motor 20 via a chain- and-sprocket drive 22, 23. The rollers may be painted with a non-slip paint or, alternatively, two pairs of rollers could be provided in each side of the cutters to prevent slip. The machine may also be provided with means for reversing the direction of the material through the machine.
