Abstract

1275844 Valves MITSUBISHI JUKOGYO KK ISHIKAWAJIMA - HARIMA JUKOGYO KK and YUKEN KOGYO CO Ltd 30 April 1970 20759/70 Heading F2V [Also in Division F1] The position of a double-acting piston in an hydraulic cylinder 17, Fig. 3, for opening and closing an hydraulic valve 18 is indicated by the pointer 6, Fig. 5, and graduated scale 10 of a flowmeter in one or other line 19, 20 connecting the cylinder 17 through a known directional control valve 14 to a pressure supply source 11 provided with a relief valve 13; the pointer 6 being in frictional engagement with the cylindrical output spindle of the meter and being rotated therewith until it abuts a stop 22b, 22a beyond the fully shut and open scale marks thereby indicating a pressure build-up during the interval between the end of the piston stroke and the opening of the relief valve 13. On moving valve 14 to neutral, the piston is held in position by fluid trapped by check valves 15 in lines 19, 20.
