A connector for fastening a strap 23 or a cable or a rod, to an anchorage rod 34 comprises a housing with a longitudinal slot 33 in each side wall into which the rod 34 may pass, a latch bolt 13 which is pivoted at 29 and has a slot 31 retaining the rod 34, and a further pivoted latch 14 which retains the latch 13 at surfaces 38, 39 until it is turned clockwise by manual pressure at 41.
