Abstract
1,251,968. Means for effecting correct alignment of mine roof suport units. DOWTY MINING EQUIPMENT Ltd. 15 Jan., 1969 [1 Feb., 1968], No. 5216/68. Heading E1P. In a self advancing mine roof support arrangement comprising two rams 46, 47 connecting a conveyor 40 to the prop unit 41. A pump 59 supplies the hydraulic fluid to the rams via line 55, 57 and a control valve 56. In order to resist slewing of the base flow control means 58, 65 are provided in the circuit as shown and actuated by a pivoted lever 62. In a modification the flow control means is operated automatically, the pistons of said means being moved by movement of the base (Fig. 1, not shown).
