Abstract

1,232,403. Feeding sheets. ADAMOVSKE STROJIRNY, NARODNI PODNIK. 27 Aug., 1968 [28 Aug., 1967], No. 40835/68. Heading B8R. Paper sheets are successively presented by feed member 18 to the lower edge of feed table 16, where they rest in turn against pivoted stop 17 until a short anticlockwise movement of a sheet-feeding cylinder, of which disc 2 is an end member, lifts the leading edge of the sheet which is next to be attached to impression cylinder 19 and places plates 8 and grippers 4 either side of it. The grippers 4 close and the sheet is held during clockwise rotation of the transfer cylinder until it enters and is held by grippers on impression cylinder 19. The grippers 4 are operated by a lever carrying a cam follower which runs in a groove in a stationary cam member adjacent to an end of the transfer cylinder. A movable element in the cam member synchronizes operation of the grippers with revolution of the impression cylinder.
