Abstract

1314856 Sheet grippers MILLER PRINTING MACHINERY CO 18 June 1970 [20 June 1969] 29611/70 Heading B6C A sheet S is held on a cylinder 10 of a printing press by gripper fingers 80 which abut on pads 82 and are non-rotatably secured on a displaceable and rotatable shaft 42 which carries a cam follower 60 and is rotated by engagement of the follower 60 with a track 54 as the shaft 42 is displaced. Displacement of the shaft 42, by rotation about a further shaft 38 in consequence of engagement of a stationary cam 26 by a lever mounted cam follower 46, may be made to take place at predetermined points in the rotation of cylinder 10, and each time causes the gripper fingers 80 to move away from the pads 82.
