Abstract

1,220,151. Screening device. ADVANCE ELECTRONICS Ltd. 14 Feb., 1969 [16 Feb., 1968], No. 7825/68. Heading H1T. Around a ferromagnetic core 2 carrying windings (3) is disposed a further short circuited winding 6 linking the leakage flux, and a ferromagnetic member 7 around the winding 6 providing a return flux path for the field produced by the winding 6. There may be a plurality of alternate layers of windings 6 and members 7. The winding 6 is preferably of copper sheet. The member 7 may be one or more turns of sheet material such as silicon iron wrapped around the core and secured by means of a strap, adhesive, or welding. The windings (3) may be carried on a bobbin 4.
