A current transformer 20 for measuring large currents in a conductor 10, undisturbed by stray magnetic fields from adjacent conductors, consists of a non-magnetic non-conducting core 22 wound with a secondary winding 24 having an even number of layers, each wound over the whole core so that both ends of the complete winding are at A.
