Abstract

1,218,156. Tamper proof closures. ETABS. GIRAUD, PROVOST & CIE. 5 May, 1969, No. 22745/69. Heading B8T. A flexible stopper is applied to a container 17 by forcing its skirt 10 into the container neck, whereupon guide faces 23 and 24 of a guarantee ring 13 of the stopper progressively engage a bead 18 on the container neck, guiding it to its final position, the stopper then being removable only after pulling a tongue (14), Fig. 1 (not shown), which breaks the ring 13 at a groove (25) and successively at junction points 15 which connect the ring 13 to a peripheral portion 12 of the stopper. The skirt 10 can be arranged to receive a dehydrating substance.
