Abstract

1,203,210. Control systems for vehicle lighting apparatus. ROBERT BOSCH G.m.b.H. 16 June, 1969 [14 June, 1968], No. 30389/69. Heading H2H. A control system for front and rear fog lamps of a motor vehicle is arranged so that the front fog lamps only are controllable by the ignition switch of the vehicle. A control system for the front fog lamps 13 and the rear fog lamp 14 of a vehicle includes a two position manually-operated switch 1. In the first position I of the switch a pair of fixed contacts 5, 6 are bridged by contact 2 whereupon the front fog lamps 13 are supplied from a battery 12 by way of an ignition switch 11, when closed, of the vehicle. Movement of the switch 1 to position II causes contacts 7, 8 to be bridged by a contact 3 thereby connecting the rear fog lamps 14 directly to the battery 12. The system enables the rear fog lamps 14 to be used when the vehicle is parked and the ignition switch 11 open. A lamp 15 is provided to provide an indication that the lamps 14 are in use. If desired, the lamps 13, 14 may be connected to the opposite pairs of contact to those shown.
