Abstract

1,186,222. Conduit. RICHARD THOMAS & BALDWINS Ltd. 11 Jan., 1968 [22 Feb., 1967], No. 8575/67. Heading H2C. [Also in Division E1] A skirting assembly comprises plastics or metal brackets 1 having recesses 9, 10 for holding electric wiring, a plastics or metal cover 20 having inturned lips 23 and 25 to engage ribs 19 and 16 respectively and skirting elements 26 of steel coated with an epoxy lacquer or P.V.C. having lips 27, 28 for engaging over the brackets and covers. Ribs 13, 14 on the back of the bracket abut the wall to which the bracket is secured by a screw passing through hole 11. Two brackets 1 are positioned adjacent each corner and edge fillets 37 on comer pieces 2 are held in recesses 12 by the covers 20. In a second embodiment, Fig. 9, corner pieces 30A are formed with webs corresponding to the webs 57 edge grooves 58 to receive the edge of the skirting 26, the brackets adjacent the comers and the recesses 12 thereon being dispensed with. The ribs 13, 14 may be omitted, the bracket being formed with a concave back surface. A bracket formed integrally with a plug socket outlet, and a cover therefor are also provided (Fig. 8). Earthing clips are attached to lip parts 2 and a lead to earth connected thereto.
