Abstract

[Also in Division H1] A socket or switch plinth comprises a bracket 19 screwed to a support 21 with pillars 20 of unequal length extending normally to an inclined socket-receiving face 14 of a plinth which has bosses 25 received in tubular portions of the pillars 20, which have tapped portions. Tapped bosses 26 may also be used for securing the socket or switch. For attachment to a wall, a portion 16 is provided which may engage a skirting trunking 15. The plinth may be of plastics and, together with a bracket 19 and a plastics base 22, is screwed to a wooden block 21 mounted in the wall. If the support is horizontal, a base (34), which may be wide enough to serve a bank of juxtaposed plinths, has a curled lug (35), which engages the inside of a plinth wall (31), and a flange (36) which forms part of an opposite wall.
